Data Analyst
Apply until 13.08.2021
Kopo Kopo is hiring a data analyst to strengthen the company’s business intelligence and analytics capabilities.
We believe in making it simpler for businesses to operate. That’s been our goal since 2012, when we partnered with Safaricom to bring Lipa Na Mpesa Buy Goods service to small and medium businesses throughout Kenya. While we remain true to helping thousands of businesses to accept digital payments, our efforts have not stopped there. We have gone a step further to understand the challenges that would stop that entrepreneur who runs a boutique, restaurant or bookstore from growing. We get these insights through listening to our customers and use the feedback to build better products that make it truly simple for any business to run, grow and succeed.
Your primary responsibilities will be to monitor key financial and performance metrics by designing, automating and maintaining dashboards for team and stakeholder reporting. You will consult with the teams to come up with the key performance indicators and influence their strategic decisions. Your day-to-day activities will be mostly determined by data or analysis requests but you’ll shine by identifying the root causes of data trends and outliers and coming up with data driven solutions that will directly lead to efficiency, significant revenue generation and/or cost reduction.
We are looking for a candidate with working experience in SQL, visualisation tools like Tableau, and is considered an Excel whiz. A quantitative degree is nice, but we are interested in what you can do. Analysis is a big part of the role thus having R and/or Python skills in your toolkit will give you that edge. We expect you to have excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical details for users of all levels. Do you love research? We will expect you to continuously evaluate and suggest new technologies to enhance the overall data toolkit.
The salary range for this role is Ksh. 120K – 150K p.m. There are numerous opportunities for your learning and development. Our amazing medical cover includes provisions for optical and dental services. We offer fully paid parental leave. We love to have fun so we hope to have a drink with you at #FormniFriday.
If this describes you and you are eager to work with us, send us your CV and cover letter to hr@kopokopo.com with the subject line “Data Analyst – <Your Name>”. This is your chance to stand out so a stock CV and cover letter will not do. Expect a technical evaluation as part of our interview process, we’ll try to make it bearable. The priority deadline for applications is August 13, 2021 but we’ll continue accepting and reviewing applications until the position is filled.
