JOB OPPORTUNITY
Posting Date : 28th May 2026
Application deadline : 15th June 2026
SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST : 300 – 400K per month
Kopo Kopo is hiring a Senior Finance Analyst who will be responsible for the owning treasury functions, cash management and financial control across the business. You’ll ensure strong liquidity management, manage FX exposure, and support optimal use of company funds through disciplined capital and investment decisions. You’ll also safeguard financial integrity by maintaining ERP accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring timely statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting. Working closely with both finance and data teams, you’ll improve the quality, structure, and reliability of financial information used for decision-making. Overall, you’ll help build a finance function that is accurate, well-controlled, and scalable as the business grows.
About Us: In 2012, Kopo Kopo partnered with Safaricom to bring Lipa na M-Pesa Buy Goods Service to businesses throughout Kenya. We have since grown to serve over 40,000 merchants who use our technology to manage their business and access working capital loans to grow their ventures. We provide 24/7 support to our merchants for which the finance function plays a critical role in timely service delivery.
About you: You’re strong with numbers and naturally curious about how businesses work. You’ve spent a few years in FP&A, business finance, or financial analysis, ideally in fintech, financial services, or a fast-growing tech company where things move quickly and priorities change often.
You’re comfortable building models in Excel or Google Sheets from scratch, digging into scenarios, and making sense of messy data. Pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, validations, and financial models don’t scare you.
You can confidently read a P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, ask smart questions, and spot what doesn’t make sense. You’ve probably worked on management reports, budgets, forecasts, or business cases that were shared with senior leadership.
You likely studied Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or something similarly analytical, and you’re either working toward or already hold a CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or similar qualification.
Most importantly, you care about doing good work. You take ownership, like improving things instead of maintaining broken processes, and you’re commercially minded enough to understand that finance is there to help the business make better decisions — not just report numbers.
Compensation : Expected salary range: KES 300,000 – 400,000 gross pay, depending on your experience. Your package includes benefits such as excellent medical coverage which includes provisions for optical and dental services. We offer fully paid parental leave. There are numerous opportunities for your learning and development. We also host regular team lunches and company sponsored social events where you get to interact with your colleagues and have fun. For an example, check out this video from our company-wide offsite in 2024.
To see if Kopo Kopo is a good fit for you, here’s our Owner’s Manual, a guide to our culture.
How to apply: If this interests you and you are eager to work with us, submit your application by filling this Google form. Submit your response by 15th June 2026.
If you complete the application, expect a series of work simulations as part of our interview process, testing your critical thinking, your math skills, your written and verbal abilities, financial reporting skills and other skills. It will be these tests and simulations that determine who is hired. We care more about what you can do and less about your background.
Best of Luck!
